Judah is turning 1!

This is the invite for Judah's 1st birthday party! Its an ugly sweater party but somehow he's making it look cute!

Easton. Mr. Wild Child. WE LOVE YOU!

Before I was about to put this post up I was like, people are gonna say "not another baby post!" but then i rethought and concluded. This is my blog, my kids are cute and these are happy. also I love getting the practice to shoot shoot shoot!

This morning we got a happy visit from my friend Lydia and her super fun and super wild 2 year old nephew Easton.

We headed to the park close to my house for the kids to run around in the play set. Of course I took my camera and it was ALOT of work chasing these lil munchkins! As I write this Hannah is enjoying her nap. She slept easier today thanks to all the fun she had running around with Easton.

Cuties! Lydia and Easton

Malachi is 24!

My super handsome and super awesome husband Malachi turned 24 on Friday the 18th and me and the kids were so excited to spend the day with him.
We packed up our lunch and cupcakes and headed for a nice picnic in our humble backyard. This was also the first time we let Hannah eat a cupcake and I think she believed it was her birthday.
I am so happy with these photos because I know in 20 years we'll be looking at these with the kids and it will be an amazing feeling.

I hope you enjoy :-D

My Rockstars! I love em! (Judah catching flies)

I'd LOVE to know what Judah is thinking right now. (more salt for his cracker maybe?)

I think Judah wants some of Hannah's feed.

I Luuuurve my babies!

Cupcake for daddy. Cupcake for Judah.

Jelly Belly goodness!

On Sunday we celebrated my official permanent residency status by going to a place thats pretty American. Costco! Seriously thats one of the top ten things I think of when I think of America. where you can buy everything in bulk. We left with nearly 20 pounds of meat and a whole lot of kiwi fruits and the best part.... 4 pounds or 1.8 kgs Tub of Jelly Belly.

For those that aren familiar, Jelly Bellies ROCK. Gormet snacking at its finest. 49 flavours!!! from pina colada to buttered popcorn, cream soda and toasted marshmallow. my least favourite being sizzling cinnamon.

I was walking past the tub this morning when i realised that over 1/3 was gone, which meant me and Malachi had been through a pound of it already in 3 days. Eeeek! For some reason Hannah thought it was breakfast. I whipped out the camera for a couple fun shots to remind me that if we did go through this whole tub this week that it did exist and I wasn't imagining things. While i was taking pics Hannah knew she wasn't allowed to eat it so she tried to smell it as much as she could and touched it while i wasn't looking.

Showing me her favorite Jelly Belly.

Hannah smelling all that sugar!

breakfast photo shoot :-D

Got a nice little surprise at 9 am in the form of a new lens. :-) So I got the kids up for a nice early morning photo shoot in their happy place. The dining table. While they were munching away I was annoying them with my photo clicks. They love mornings!!! and even Judah gave me his rare smiles.

Judah .... from boredom to belly button. ( which he played with for the next hour!)

"I don't know momma"

My happy morning baby!

So...Shocking!

Mr. Serious!

Judah is 11 months. That totally blows my mind! Our little man has developed so much personality and lots a baby goodness!!! not to mention his cheeks which i can't get enough of.
One thing we've noticed this past few months is his seriousness. when he lets you know..."Im not impressed momma!" thats what he showed me today when we went outside with Hannah.

I took about 30 pics in about 10 minutes and FAILED terribly to try and get him to smile. But I love his one expression, and its even better when he bursts into a smile the moment I least expect it. Hannah even tried to get a smile out of him with her fancy camera. OH WELL...maybe another day. In the meantime enjoy his famous expression!

Judah's "tough guy" look.

His 6 interpretations on 1 expression...so talented!

Even Hannah's kisses didn't bring out a smile.

Our lil photographer!

When Hogges fly.

Billy is Malachi's friend and Matthew's brother. That alone makes him cool. But he gets more awesome..... Billy owns a plane!!! Need i say more?
Last Thursday me and Vanessa took the evening to go check out Billy's plane and hang out at Monroe airport with him. Billy gets extra points for having a fancy jacket. Of course we took our handy cameras and made a nifty photo shoot out of it. Van was super brave and took it a step further and went flying with Billy for a few minutes and check out our night sky. I, on the other hand remained grounded. Here are a few pics we took. (vanessa's is the first 3) It was too much fun!

Even after it got dark we got some fun shots inside the hanger.

Billy: you're awesome! Thanks for lending us you and your plane.... and being a fun model!

Girl / Fun Lens time!

My really close friend Vanessa came all the way from Spokane, Washington to visit us this week!! I've totally been looking forward to seeing her again since we both completed our School of Photography back in Jan 2008!!

Its been so much fun and encouraging having her here and we've been busy just lounging around and talking about what we love....Photography! So we pulled our selves off the couch long enough yesterday to explore my backyard with lil Hannah while Judah was getting his Happy nap.

I borrowed Van's canon 50mm lens and shot at f 1.8. (for the photo nerds out there)...all i can say is..not bad for a $50 lens.

Ummmmm

She's up to something...

Kisses for Nanna/pappa/grandpa/grandma!
